Launched in 2016, Ignition has three years worth of experience under their belt. They are run by the same operator as Slots.lv, which we reviewed previously. Like that casino, we were also unable to determine if Ignition has an active license or not. The casino is focused on US and Australian players, and will actively block you from accessing it if you’re not from those regions.
These regions are usually quite restricted when it comes to software providers. You won’t find large names like NetEnt or Microgaming here. Instead, all games are supplied by Rival Gaming, Spinomental and Revolver Gaming. There are also multiple titles that are exclusive to Bovada casinos, perhaps hinting towards the identity of this mysterious operator.
Ignition has three primary colours – orange, grey and white. These three blend quite well, and create a gorgeous design. We don’t like the fact everything is a separate page that has to be loaded with this casino. That said, Ignition makes up for it by adding instructions on how to play certain game types. You even get strategy guides on what to do in specific circumstances! The whole website is built from the grounds-up with mobile support in mind. Despite that, it is quite simple to navigate on desktop.
In the FAQ, the operator says they use SSL encryption to ensure gambler data is not compromised. Available payment methods include credit, debit or gift cards or by using Bitcoins. You can also use Check by Courier for withdrawals exclusively. Unfortunately, the wording is left quite vague in the FAQ itself. It seems like Ignition is doing their best to obscure this information, probably due to the small number of payment methods.
Ignition Bonuses and Promotions
The casino attracts players who bet with Bitcoins with several special features! One of them is a Bitcoin exclusive welcome bonus! You get a 200% match bonus for your first deposit, up to $2000! Furthermore, you also receive the 100% match bonus from the Poker welcome promotion. The $2000 promotion is only valid in the casino section, and you are subject to a 25x wagering requirement.
The basic welcome bonus is a much less flashy affair. It still lets you get a 100% match bonus for your first deposit, up to $1000. Here, gamblers have a choice. They can take the bonus to play Poker, or they can dive into the casino. We know our pick! The casino promotion is subject to the same 25x wagering requirement. Meanwhile, the poker bonus comes from Ignition Miles, which can be earned within 30 days of a qualifying deposit. The promotion opens up by $5 for each of the 150 miles you collect.
Each week, you can make a single deposit that will be boosted by 100%. This is the Weekly Boost! It is subject to a wagering requirement, but the operator does not list the exact conditions on its page.
In case you’re still on the fence about Bitcoin, Ignition has another promotion to pull you in. Every Bitcoin deposit, up to $1000, will have a 25% match bonus. There’s no limit as to how many times you can use this promotion. It is subject to a 10x wagering requirement. If said requirements are not met in six months, all remaining bonus funds and winnings are removed.
There are also numerous Poker promotions. We mostly focus on video slots on this website, so we will not go into much detail here. Still, if you enjoy poker, you’ll be treated to three bonuses that are constantly available. There is also a poker tournament, ongoing until July 19, 2019.
Finally, you can also refer friends to come and play at Ignition. You get a 200% match bonus on their first deposits, capped at $100. Furthermore, you also get $25 extra for your friend’s first bitcoin deposit. Your friends, in turn, get up to $2000 worth of welcome promotions when they join using your link.
Software & Games
The operator currently hosts a total of 302 games! Most of the slots have been done by Rival, Spinomental and Revolver Gaming. We also see several titles that were made exclusively for the use of Bovada casinos. We do wish there were better software providers available. Rival has decent quality, but the other two are mostly unheard of, and for good reason.
From that number, a total of 212 are video slots. This list includes both progressive and regular games. You can recognize what games are progressive or not by checking if they have a ribbon on their tile. If the ribbon has a number and the word jackpot on it, then it’s telling you how high the progressive jackpot has climbed. The drop down menu allows you to sort between different types of slots. It even lets you choose to show only Rival games.
There are a total of 28 table games currently available to play at Ignition. You have a decent variety of titles, too. Multiple blackjack and poker games, as well as the ever popular roulette and baccarat. You’re also treated to some interesting titles, like Andar Bahar, which is Hindu in origin.
The live dealer hosts a grand total of 19 titles, that are up at all times. Most of these are blackjack tables with varying levels of entry. However, when we were testing the casino, we found most tables to be deserted.
Finally, the operator shipped 22 games which sit outside of the norm. Most of these include Keno and Bingo, as well as a few other titles that are fun from time to time.
While Ignition does list all of the available payment methods in the FAQ, they obscure a lot of other information. Namely, it doesn’t give us any expectation on how long we have to wait, or what the primary currency of the casino is.
You can make deposits with credit, debit or gift cards, as well as Bitcoins. Bitcoins are not subject to any deposit fees. However, Visa and Mastercard owners will pay 5.9% extra, while Amex customers will be charged 9.9% higher than normal.
Withdrawals can be made with Cryptocurrencies, the cards you used to make a deposit, or Check by Courier. Not all of these methods are available in all countries. Cryptocurrencies do not have any fees applying to them. In contrast, Check by Courier charges $100 per withdrawal, while Visa Fast Funds and debit cards cost $25 per withdrawal. Players get a single free non-Crypto withdrawal every 90 calendar days.
Taking all of this information into account, we must recommend playing with Bitcoin, or not playing at all. The fees charged by the casino are steep, and are used to keep you from withdrawing your money. With only one free non-crypto withdrawal every 90 calendar days, that means you can only make four withdrawal per year.
If your account is inactive for 18 months or more, any balance you have on said account will be removed. The operator will attempt to contact the inactive account holder one month before their account is subject to this rule. This is an awful system, especially when other casinos use administrative fees in their place, or wave the fee entirely.
Ignition is a great casino on the surface. It has over 300 games which cater to a market most software providers are unable to reach. There’s a decent variety of offered titles and promotions, too! Unfortunately, these positives aren’t enough to beat back the negative parts of this casino.
Best we can tell, the operator no longer has an active license anywhere. Alongside seizing the funds of inactive accounts, these are huge issues that undermine Ignition’s reputation. We’re also not big fans of the steep fees you have to pay for both withdrawals and deposits. Until the casino fixes these issues, we will not able to recommend playing there. We suggest checking out one of the other casinos we reviewed on our website, instead!
