Craps Online - Real Money Craps

Toss the dice and win the prize!

Okay, playing online craps is slightly more complicated than that. But ultimately, that’s what everything boils down to. They’re not as glamorous as roulette, and craps rules take somewhat longer to learn. But once you get into the spirit of things, you’ll be having a blast with each round. If you get past the initial hurdle, you too, can become an online craps god!

There’s something incredibly satisfying in tossing dice to win. Helps if you imagine you’re tossing them at someone you don’t like. That usually helps us win! On top of that, craps has low house edge, edging out both roulette and slots. Funny, since both of these games are more popular, despite having worse odds.

If you’re a veteran player, or just starting your real money online craps journey, you will need to find a good place to play. Fortunately, we compiled the very best craps sites right here. Pick one that strikes your fancy, and get ready for some fun!

The Best Places for a Crappy Time

We do our best to be objective with every review we do. After all, our readers trust us to help them pick the very best games currently on the market. We apply the same mindset to the casinos we recommend. There are several important details that we check before we place a website on our best craps sites.

A reputable online casino is one that’s least likely to cause issues. This is especially true in the US, where online gambling tends to be troublesome as-is. Websites that are ahead of the pack have a reputation to uphold, and are already securely raking in a profit. Why risk all of that by stirring up trouble?

But reputation alone doesn’t police casinos. Beyond just brand recognition, we look at how trustworthy they are, and how clean their history is. Having a few complaints is unavoidable in this business, but if they’re quickly resolved, that’s not an issue. But if we see multiple unresolved problems, especially related to payouts? Then that casino will quickly find its way on a different type of list: the blacklist. Rest assured, we thoroughly checked all of our picks. You can trust them not to screw you over.

One of our pet peeves are casinos that take forever to grant you your hard-earned cash. Some of this can be alleviated by using a different payment method, but at its core, it depends on the casino. So, if an operator can deliver on the promise of fast payouts, they’re far more likely to catch our attention. The websites we recommend in our best craps sites list have proven to reliably and swiftly complete our withdrawals.

What’s more fun than a game of online craps? A round of online craps with other people on the table! Admittedly, finding a live version of craps can be a difficult task. However, some casinos do keep it in stock. It’s not quite the same experience as playing it in real life just yet. But with technology increasing at the pace it does, it’s only a matter of time!

Despite playing for a while, we cannot recall ever seeing a promotion that specifically targets craps players. Whether we like it or not, craps online isn’t nearly as popular as roulette, blackjack and slots. The best you can expect is for existing bonuses to also apply to your game of craps. Before registering anywhere, make sure to check if the promotion applies for online craps USA, too. Otherwise, you’ll be in for a bad time.

The fact most people nowadays exclusively access the internet with their phones is somewhat stunning. Maybe we’re just old, but we still recall those old Pentium PCs and the annoyance of dial-up. Nowadays, mobile phones and tablets have hardware that blow those old computers out of the water. So supporting mobile gambling isn’t so much of an option as it is a necessity.

Numbers, Tables and Dice, oh my!

Strap in your seatbelts, because this is going to take us a while. We recommend turning on some relaxing music, maybe making yourself a cup of tea. Even then, we recommend having the guide handy while you’re playing. It’s easy to forget some of the details, so make sure to play a demo version first until you learn the ropes.

The best way to learn how to play craps online is to split it in two. First, we’ll tackle numbers and dice, and then we’ll cover the information you find on the table.

Each round begins with a come-out roll. Two dice are tossed on the table, and their numbers added together determine what happens next.

  • Natural Win: Your first roll is the number 7 or 11. It’s just a straight-up win, after which the next round begins.
  • Craps: The total sum of the dice is the number 2, 3 or 12. This is a loss.
  • Point: You get this if you land any number that hasn’t been mentioned previously. The number you rolled will be highlighted on the table.

Getting a point allows you to toss dice multiple times. You keep tossing dice until you score the point again. If that happens, you win a cash prize. However, if you roll a 7 after establishing a point, you lose, and a new round starts.

That’s the numbers and dice squared away. Now, we can move onto the table, which is the complicated part. Just like roulette, you need to familiarize yourself with what each section means. So take a five minute breather, and read on ahead.

So, first and foremost, let’s talk about the Pass and Don’t Pass section of the table. Before the first dice throw, you can put your money on either of these two categories. Betting Pass means you will win money if you get a winning number. Whether you do that by landing a natural win or scoring a point doesn’t matter.

In contrast, don’t pass means you expect to lose. Again, you can do so by rolling a 2 or 3, or by landing a seven after establishing a point. However, if you roll a 12, you get a push. This means that you get your money back, and a new round begins.

Next, we’re tackling Come and Don’t Come bets. These are similar to Pass and Don’t Pass, but can only be wagered after the initial dice throw. Betting Come means you are confident you will win, while Don’t Come means you win money if you lose. Again, rolling 12 means you get a push.

Depending on the table, your real money online craps game will have different Proposition Bets. A proposition bet is essentially you gambling what the sum of the next dice toss will be.

  • Any Seven: You roll a 7 to win.
  • Any Craps: You roll a 2, 3 or 12 to win.
  • Any Deuce: You roll a 3 to win.
  • Aces: You roll a 2 to win.
  • Boxcars: You roll a 12 to win.
  • Horn: You roll a 2, 3, 11, or 12 to win.

A variation of proposition bets are Hard Ways. Once again, you are betting that a certain sum of the two dice you toss will appear. However, the sum must be made by a pair of same numbers. So, a 4 must have a pair of 2’s, 6 must have a pair of 3’s, and so on.

Place Bets can only be wagered on after a point is established. Here, you’re hoping your chosen number will appear before the point is won, or a seven appears. If those conditions aren’t met, you lose.

Field Bets are only active for a single roll. You win if you collect numbers 2, 3, 4, 9, 10 11 or 12. You lose if the sum of the dice is 5, 6, 7 or 8.

Big 6 and Big 8 are wagers in which you win if the number 6, or 8, respectively, appear before the number 7.

So, these are the all the core elements you will need to enjoy a game of online craps at a casino. But what’s the best craps strategy to ensure you keep winning? The truth is, there really isn’t one. You can’t change the payouts, and you cannot control the dice throws. The only thing gamblers are in control over are their wagers.
